Re-revisiting Babylon 5 has brought back some really warm memories. Hell, I'm almost having as much fun watching the show the 3rd time through as I did the first time. (Nothing will ever top that feeling of watching the show and constantly being surprised by plot twists, but even knowing what's going to happen watching the show a couple episodes per day is a total blast!)
This show deserves a lot more attention than it's getting. Warner Brothers really needs to spring for HD masters of the show so it can survive into the future. (As most channels are going HD they're going to demand HD masters to air the show...)

I agree completely! This is by far the smartest, most thought out, and funniest tv show that I've ever seen. It would be a total shame if this show is never, or hardly ever, watched by future generations. I've heard however that there are plans for a reboot, but it would never be able to capture the brilliance of the original.

What always struck me was how little, seemingly throwaway, lines of dialogue would turn out to be prophetic and have great meaning down the line. That was just one sign of how well thought out the series was. JMS had a five year plan, and even though cast changes and presumed cancellations forced him to adjust that plan, he pretty much stuck to it, giving the show continuity and a flow like one long novel (like something Vernor Vinge would write in length - 900+ pages).
Other shows have since copied that style, but none of them have been quite as well thought and planned out in advance the way Joe did with B5.
